In October 2021, a provider bulletin titled Electronic visit verification key points outlined a new process for billing any electronic visit verification (EVV) services claims directly to Empire BlueCross BlueShield HealthPlus (Empire) instead of the CareBridge* aggregator.


Update: Effective June 1, 2022, Empire will no longer receive claim projects for EVV claim dates of service on or after January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021. These items will be considered with appropriate documentation using the standard grievance and appeals policy outlined in the provider manual.
